Le haut niveau d&rsquo;int&eacute;gration et le faible &quot;jitter&quot; de ces dispositifs &eacute;vite l&rsquo;utilisation des circuits s&eacute;par&eacute;s de translation de fr&eacute;quence, de gestion de redondance et des indispensables circuits d&rsquo;att&eacute;nuation de &quot;jitter&quot;. Les concepteurs peuvent ainsi r&eacute;duire les co&ucirc;ts et l&rsquo;encombrement sur carte, en regroupant ces fonctions sur une m&ecirc;me puce. En outre, ces UFT offrent une grande souplesse de configuration et une programmation facile, gr&acirc;ce au logiciel propri&eacute;taire Timing Commander, ce qui permet leur utilisation dans un large &eacute;ventail de d&eacute;veloppements et de modes de fonctionnement, moyennant un effort de conception minimum.<br \/>\n&quot;Notre derni&egrave;re g&eacute;n&eacute;ration d&rsquo;UFT d&eacute;montre le leadership d&rsquo;IDT dans la fourniture de solutions de synchronisation &agrave; la fois souples et puissantes, tout en restant faciles &agrave; utiliser,&quot; affirme Christian Kermarrec, Vice-Pr&eacute;sident et Directeur G&eacute;n&eacute;ral de la Division Horloges et Synchronisation d&rsquo;IDT. &quot;Les applications 100 GbE n&eacute;cessitent des dispositifs de synchronisation robustes pour garantir un fonctionnement fiable avec un BER (Bit Error Rate, ou taux d&rsquo;erreurs de bits) tr&egrave;s faible. Avec un &quot;jitter&quot; de phase de seulement 300 femtosecondes (RMS), la famille d&rsquo;UFT IDT satisfait non seulement aux imp&eacute;ratifs techniques en tant que solution compacte sur une seule puce, mais offre aussi de nombreux avantages suppl&eacute;mentaires au niveau souplesse et possibilit&eacute; de programmation, qui rendent ces dispositifs bien sup&eacute;rieurs aux solutions discr&egrave;tes &agrave; fr&eacute;quence fixe.&quot;<br \/>\nCes UFT existent avec une ou deux PLL dans un m&ecirc;me bo&icirc;tier, selon les besoins de l&rsquo;application. Une fois configur&eacute; en synth&eacute;tiseur de fr&eacute;quences, le dispositif peut utiliser un quartz &agrave; bas co&ucirc;t allant de 10 MHz &agrave; 40 MHz, pour produire n&rsquo;importe quelle fr&eacute;quence entre 8 KHz et 1.0 GHz ind&eacute;pendamment de la fr&eacute;quence du quartz retenu. En configuration translateur de fr&eacute;quences, il accepte jusqu&rsquo;&agrave; 4 horloges de r&eacute;f&eacute;rence en entr&eacute;e par PLL, entre 8 KHz et 875 MHz, en commutant de l&rsquo;une &agrave; l&rsquo;autre selon les besoins pour produire n&rsquo;importe quelle fr&eacute;quence de sortie de 8 KHz &agrave; 1.0 GHz. Chaque sortie est individuellement programmable au format LVPECL, LVDS, ou comme une paire de signaux LVCMOS.<br \/>\nSupport&eacute;e &agrave; 100% par l&rsquo;interface graphique du Timing Commandant, cette famille d&rsquo;UFT peut facilement &ecirc;tre programm&eacute;e pour r&eacute;pondre aux besoins du syst&egrave;me, sans avoir &agrave; jongler avec les diff&eacute;rentes fiches techniques. D&rsquo;autres commandes, des calculs et des &eacute;crans de supervision pilotables gr&acirc;ce &agrave; l&rsquo;interface graphique, permettent &agrave; l&rsquo;utilisateur d&rsquo;exp&eacute;rimenter et de peaufiner la configuration. Le logiciel ainsi que les fichiers de configuration des UFT peuvent &ecirc;tre t&eacute;l&eacute;charg&eacute;s sur le site constructeur.
