Ses applications cible sont notamment la traction ferroviaire, la commande de moteurs industriels, les syst&egrave;mes d&rsquo;&eacute;nergie renouvelable ainsi que la transmission et distribution d&rsquo;&eacute;lectricit&eacute;.<br \/>\nL&rsquo;utilisation d&rsquo;une diode barri&egrave;re de Schottky (SBD) en SiC r&eacute;duit sensiblement le courant de reprise d&rsquo;inversion et diminue d&rsquo;autant les pertes &agrave; l&rsquo;allumage par rapport &agrave; des solutions silicium. La combinaison de cette diode et d&rsquo;une architecture interne am&eacute;lior&eacute;e minimisant les inductances parasites, permet au module de pr&eacute;senter des pertes de reprise d&rsquo;inversion diminu&eacute;es de 97% par rapport &agrave; une version utilisant une diode silicium conventionnelle.<br \/>\nCe PMI offre une tension d&rsquo;isolement nominale de 6000 VAC (tension efficace pendant une minute) et accepte un courant cr&ecirc;te de coupure au collecteur de 3000 A maximum. La dissipation de puissance au niveau du collecteur est de 5000 W &agrave; 25 &deg;C. La plage de temp&eacute;rature op&eacute;rationnelle de -40 &deg;C &agrave; +150 &deg;C est compatible avec les plages de temp&eacute;rature d&rsquo;utilisation tr&egrave;s larges qui caract&eacute;risent les applications cible.<br \/>\nAu cours du d&eacute;veloppement, ce module hybride 3300 V, 1500 A, a &eacute;t&eacute; mont&eacute; dans un onduleur de traction ferroviaire. Gr&acirc;ce &agrave; lui, l&rsquo;encombrement global de la commande moteur, y compris son syst&egrave;me de refroidissement, a pu &ecirc;tre r&eacute;duit de 40%.
