La demande croissante d’un contenu riche par un accès instantané à l’information impose l’utilisation d’une bande passante élargie du réseau des centres de données. Fabriquer des composants plus rapides pour répondre à ce besoin n’est plus suffisant. PAM-4 est un type de signaux multi-niveaux conçu pour augmenter la transmission numérique de données par une liaison Ethernet, avec des vitesses allant de 100 à 400 Gb.<\/p>\n

Différents groupes industriels et organismes de normalisation utilisent ou envisagent activement d’utiliser la technologie PAM-4 pour aller vers une nouvelle génération de classe de vitesse et permettre des débits plus élevés pour une bande passante donnée par rapport à traditionnelle technologie NRZ (non-retour à zéro). <\/p>\n
