Cette avanc\u00e9e marque une \u00e9tape importante dans l\u2019\u00e9volution des m\u00e9canismes de mobilit\u00e9 dans les r\u00e9seaux 5G Standalone, en particulier pour les applications n\u00e9cessitant une latence extr\u00eamement faible.<\/p>\n<p>Dans les r\u00e9seaux mobiles, la gestion du handover est essentielle pour maintenir la connectivit\u00e9 des \u00e9quipements utilisateurs lors de leurs d\u00e9placements entre cellules. Les approches traditionnelles reposant sur des m\u00e9canismes de couche 3 pr\u00e9sentent toutefois des limitations en termes de latence.<\/p>\n<h4>Une \u00e9volution du handover pour les services critiques<\/h4>\n<p>Dans les d\u00e9ploiements 5G actuels, le handover est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement initi\u00e9 par la station de base via des messages Radio Resource Control (RRC), op\u00e9rant au niveau de la couche 3. Cette m\u00e9thode entra\u00eene une interruption de service typiquement comprise entre 50 et 90 millisecondes, acceptable pour les usages classiques mais probl\u00e9matique pour les applications temps r\u00e9el.<\/p>\n<p>Avec l\u2019introduction du m\u00e9canisme Lower Layer Triggered Mobility (LTM) dans le Release 18, le handover peut \u00eatre d\u00e9clench\u00e9 au niveau de la couche 2 sur la base de mesures r\u00e9alis\u00e9es en couche physique. Cette approche permet au terminal de se synchroniser \u00e0 l\u2019avance avec une cellule cible, tant en uplink qu\u2019en downlink, r\u00e9duisant ainsi le temps de transition.<\/p>\n<h4>Une mobilit\u00e9 plus rapide et plus fiable<\/h4>\n<p>En exploitant les couches basses pour anticiper les transitions, LTM permet de diminuer significativement le temps d\u2019ex\u00e9cution du handover et de r\u00e9duire la charge de signalisation. Cette approche am\u00e9liore la continuit\u00e9 de service, un \u00e9l\u00e9ment crucial pour des cas d\u2019usage tels que les communications critiques, les applications immersives en Extended Reality (XR) ou les environnements \u00e0 forte mobilit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Cette \u00e9volution constitue un \u00e9l\u00e9ment cl\u00e9 pour r\u00e9pondre aux exigences de latence et de fiabilit\u00e9 des r\u00e9seaux 5G de nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration.<\/p>\n<h4>Une plateforme de test compl\u00e8te pour les environnements multi\u2011radio<\/h4>\n<p>La plateforme ME7834NR utilis\u00e9e par Anritsu permet de valider la conformit\u00e9 des \u00e9quipements mobiles via des tests Protocol Conformance Testing (PCT) et Carrier Acceptance Testing (CAT). Elle prend en charge les technologies multiples, incluant la 5G NR en modes Standalone et Non\u2011Standalone, ainsi que les syst\u00e8mes LTE, W\u2011CDMA et les communications non terrestres.<\/p>\n<p>Associ\u00e9e \u00e0 la chambre de test OTA MA8171A et \u00e0 des convertisseurs RF, la solution permet d\u2019effectuer des tests sur les bandes sub\u20116 GHz et millim\u00e9triques, couvrant ainsi l\u2019ensemble des sc\u00e9narios de d\u00e9ploiement 5G.<\/p>\n<h4>Une contribution \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me 5G avanc\u00e9<\/h4>\n<p>En participant \u00e0 la v\u00e9rification des cas de test LTM, Anritsu contribue \u00e0 acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer l\u2019adoption des fonctionnalit\u00e9s du Release 18.
